What is Mentorship?

Mentorship is a supportive relationship between an experienced person, the mentor, and someone at the beginning of their professional journey, the mentee. As part of the Paula project, we firmly believe that sharing knowledge and experiences is essential for passing on exceptional skills and supporting the empowerment of young women. This mentorship program aims to establish meaningful connections between seasoned artisans and young women in higher education eager to explore careers in luxury craftsmanship.

Explanation of the Program and Its Objectives

The Paula mentorship program aims to:

  • Transmit Skills: Provide young women in higher education the opportunity to learn directly from artisans working in luxury houses, develop their technical skills, and discover various crafts within the luxury industry.

  • Inspire and Motivate: Encourage mentees to pursue their passions and consider careers in often-overlooked fields. Through mentors' testimonials and experiences, we aim to awaken their creative potential.

  • Create a Community: Foster an environment of exchange where young women can share ideas, ask questions, and support each other throughout their journey. This supportive network will help build their confidence and motivation.

  • Develop Partnerships: We are currently working on establishing partnerships with specialized schools and major luxury houses. These collaborations aim to strengthen our mentorship program by providing additional resources, practical training, and opportunities for immersion in the professional world. These alliances will create an enriching learning environment and open doors for young women aspiring to build a career in luxury craftsmanship.
