In a sector where craftsmanship is at the heart of excellence, LVMH plays a pioneering role in promoting the talents that embody the unique expertise of its Houses. Among the Group's many initiatives, several stand out for their ambition to support and celebrate women artisans, thereby preserving the heritage of fine craftsmanship while inspiring future generations.
Here's a look at some of the key initiatives: the Craftswomen's Prize, the Institut des Métiers d'Excellence (IME), and the You & Me programme.

Le prix des artisanes
Each year, LVMH honours the women who excel in the crafts through a prestigious award: the Prix des Artisanes. The aim of this prize is to celebrate those who, in the shadows of the workshops, deploy extraordinary talent to create exceptional pieces.
Whether they are embroiderers at Dior, jewellers at Chaumet or leatherworkers at Louis Vuitton, these women represent the essence of the luxury industry. The Prix des Artisanes doesn't just reward technical achievements; it also highlights inspiring career paths, often marked by years of dedication and a passion inherited or cultivated. This initiative helps to give visibility to talents that often receive too little media coverage and creates a space for recognition within the LVMH ecosystem.
L’Institut des Métiers d’Excellence
Founded in 2014, the Institut des Métiers d'Excellence (IME) embodies LVMH's commitment to the transmission of art crafts. This unique programme offers sandwich courses designed to train a new generation of craftsmen.
Participants have the opportunity to train in the workshops of the Group's emblematic Houses, while benefiting from technical education in renowned partner schools. The IME offers a rare opportunity to learn from the best, whether in the fields of couture, jewellery, leather goods or wine and spirits.
The IME plays a key role in encouraging young people - and in particular young women - to take up these careers, which are sometimes perceived as remote or inaccessible. By supporting training, LVMH not only preserves the heritage of its Houses, but also contributes to the future of professions of excellence.
You & Me
In a constant effort to create links and encourage exchanges, LVMH has also set up the You & Me programme, a mentoring scheme that connects experienced craftswomen with young talent.
The aim is twofold: to support the progress of young recruits by passing on the tricks and know-how of the trade, but also to promote the experience and career path of the mentors. This programme is a fine illustration of the importance of intergenerational transmission, which is essential in professions where every gesture counts.
You & Me plays a crucial role in strengthening the community of craftswomen within the LVMH brands, creating a virtuous circle in which exchange and mutual support nurture shared excellence.
With initiatives such as the Prix des Artisanes, the IME and You & Me, LVMH is proving once again that preserving craftsmanship is inseparable from its commitment to excellence.
